Best Fiverr Gigs for Marketers

Fiverr is an amazing resource for internet entrepreneurs (particularly digital marketers) but not all gigs are created equal. While some things are perfect for outsourcing to Fiverr, there are other things that should never be outsourced to Fiverr.

In this article, I'm going to share the 17 things that you can feel safe outsourcing to Fiverr!

Fiverr Gigs

After 142 different gigs (124 were completed successfully), I've seen a lot of the good, the bad and the ugly of Fiverr.

I've worked with a lot of folks and have made a nice "shortlist" of the best of the best available at the end of this article for the low cost of an email address! Be sure to read all the way to the bottom to get access to those great folks.

#1 Basic Research

As a content marketer, I spend a lot of time doing research on the things that I write about. Although this is often one of my secret pleasures (I do enjoy learning more about the topics I write about) sometimes the content is dry, there's too much of it or I am just too busy to do a lot of digging on my own.

Hiring someone to help me do deep research is super helpful.

Things I might hire someone to research may include:

  • Statistics and references for content
  • Competitor data
  • Searching for contact information for influencers
  • Fact checking and compilation for blog posts/videos
  • Keyword research for future blog post ideas.

Make sure you find someone who is doing more than just regurgitating everything they find from Google, though. Your researcher should understand the purpose of the research and narrow down their results accordingly.

#2 Basic Data Entry

This is the definition of unskilled labor. Data entry is one of the easiest tasks to outsource and will save you plenty of time.

#3 Photoshop

Photoshop is a skill that's certainly worth learning if you ever get the time (just a few hours would make you more than efficient) but it’s a task that is also easily outsourced. You’ll save time and get better work done than you could do on your own.

#4 Logos And Ad Graphics

Logos are tricky because serious businesses should have high-quality logos done, eventually. There are three approaches:

  1. Buy multiple low level Fiverr freelance gigs and keep the one you like best. You'll still pay everyone who does the task, of course, but you'll only use one. .
  2. Buy a mid-range Fiverr gig (my recommendation for this is in the optional rolodex below) and ride it until the wheels come off. You can always improve or change your logo later.
  3. Buy a high end design from Fiverr Pro or 99 designs and do it right from the start.

Decide based on on your budget and plans for the business. Other sites like PlaceIt can help with logo creation too, if are on a real budget. Don’t spend money on graphics up front at the expense of other important things like creating a high-quality product.

#5 YouTube Thumbnails

Thumbnails on YouTube matter even more than they do on blog posts.

YouTube thumbnails should be attention grabbing and “on brand.” I highly recommend outsourcing YouTube thumbnails but even if you're outsourcing, make sure you also know what makes a great YouTube thumbnail.

#6 Create Custom Domain Email

If your business email ends in anything like "@gmail.com," you need to step up your game.

Creating a business email can be a little tricky and time-consuming the first time you do it and it's not something you'll need to do a lot. It isn't incredibly valuable to learn how to do it yourself, so I recommend outsourcing it on Fiverr for -. It makes things much easier.

#7 3D Book Covers

This gig is great if you already have the design created for your book cover (something you can also outsource to Fiverr, but I recommend you don't).

Check out the one I got done for a short ebook I wrote.

Perfect Blog Post

Although there are softwares that could do this (placeit being the big player) I love having a freelancer just do it for me for $15-$20.

#8 Doodles/Cartoon Explainer Videos

In 2014, I had a corny (but well done) sketch made of an image of me and my business partner for a Facebook group header. These can be a little corny, but when used properly, they can be great.

Sketch

My most recommended sketch artist is in the free rolodex at the end of this article. Her doodles are awesome for blog posts or ebooks.

Although I find them pretty corny and overplayed, whiteboard explainer videos are also easily outsourced on Fiverr.

#9 Video Intros/Outros

Although you aren’t going to get much quality for $5, a mid range video intro/outro or endcard can be a huge value. Most freelancers will offer templates for you to choose from.

#10 Audio Transcription

Typically, Rev.com is what I use, but there are a few Fiverr freelancers who can beat the $1/minute price with the same accuracy. You likely will not need this gig unless you have hundreds of minutes of audio to transcribe.

#11 Basic Website Support

There are countless little issues we all face with our websites. Fiverr is a great place to go for one time fixes.

You can hire people to:

  • Fix plugin/theme issues
  • Install tracking codes
  • Speed up your site
  • And much more

I recommend asking whoever fixes your issues how they did it. This could save you some time if you need it done again.

#12 Audio/Podcast Editing

The sound quality of your podcasts should be a top priority and Fiverr has a lot of quality editors.

#13 Video Editing

Video editing can be extremely time-consuming. Fiverr has some very good video editors. If you create a lot of videos, you'll most likely want to find someone more permanent (and affordable at scale) from a site like Freelancer.com.

When you find someone who does good work, keep them around! The more they work with you, the better they will get with your brand and how you want things.

#14 Proofreading

If you're doing any sort of writing, you want a proofreader. Great content can lose its thunder if it's littered with typos and structural errors.

#15 Voice Talent

When I need a quality, affordable voice over, I hit up Fiverr and you should too.

#16 User Testing

Do you have a website or software that you want someone to give you feedback on? Fiverr has several great gigs that will help you get real, unbiased insights on your product or website.

#17 Spreadsheets

Whether you love them or hate them, you will surely have a time when you will need a spreadsheet created for your digital business. I'm quite proficient in Excel but I have outsourced several larger projects to Fiverr and gotten amazing results.

    1. It depends who you work with but it’s always good to give them some direction if you have a general idea of what you like.
