No one likes back acne. Sure, we can hide it most of the time, but why live with it when you can fix it?
Here is how I treated my own bacne without the help of a dermatologist of any prescription medications.
Note: I am not a doctor. This is simply my own personal experience with back acne and what worked for me. Treating your existing acne might not address the underlying causes that will lead to chronic acne on your back, chest or face. Contact a licensed dermatologist for actual medical advice. If you are looking for a quick cosmetic fix though, you should consider my approach here.
Step #1 Back Scrubber + Back Acne Wash
This is the bread and butter of the whole thing. In full transparency, I rarely "scrub" my back deeply. Sure, I put soap and rinse what I can, but until my back acne got out of control, I didn't actually scrub hard and completely with something that helps get the hard to reach spots.
Honestly, for many people, this alone could fix their acne issues on it's own. I needed more though.
Step #2 Topical Body Acne Spray
I spray this onto my back once I've dried off. If you want, you can spray it on before bed, just make sure you wear a t-shirt so it doesn't get all over your bed sheets and into your eyes.
Step #3 Back Acne Patches or Hydrocolloid Roll
You've probably seen the smaller acne patches that have become popular (for good reason) lately. These can work also but you really want something larger.
I recommend these larger pads or a roll of hydrocolloid adhesive tape that can be cut. It's definitely a better value, but the smaller patches might pack more of a punch.
