“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”
Gandhi
What things do you value the most? I was thinking about this the other day as I was working on my latest 5 and 10 year plan for my life. I did some digging and found a list of over 50 core values (thank you James Clear) and decided to put them all into a spreadsheet.
You can access that for free here. No email required, it will prompt you to make a copy of it that no one else will see.
Simply go through and select the values that are most meaningful to you. Then, rank how you feel your living those values on a scale of 1 (not at all) to 10 (crushing it). Feel free to edit the sheet as much as you'd like as well. Add values you think are missing here, etc.
Some are, subjectively, more honorable than others, but be honest with yourself. If you value something like fame and wealth, don't be afraid to include it in your list.
Come back to this list after some time has passed (maybe a month, year, 2 years etc.) and see how your values have changed or stayed the same.
Here's the list of core values you'll find in the worksheet.
