If you are responsible for managing a field sales team, or a door to door sales team as they are commonly known, then it’s important that you have the right tools to do this. There are too many companies out there right now that don’t, and it’s causing issues such as poor sales records, issues with performance, and tracking. All of this combined can be hugely problematic for businesses, and that’s simply not okay.
As such, you need to start looking for solutions, if you have not done so already. We know that this can be a long, tough process though, so we’ve done some of this for you. Down below, we’re going to present you with some of the options that we have found so that you can have a look for yourself, and determine whether these could be suitable options for your business. If you would like to find out more, feel free to continue reading.
RepCard
RepCard is a cloud-based sales operating system. It was designed specifically to help door to door sales teams improve their productivity and ensure that they are able to get the most out of their teams. It doesn’t function in the same way that a traditional CRM does. Instead, it combines all of the aspects of the sales team and more, and puts it into one platform for you to use.
The goal is to avoid having so many disconnected apps that just make things harder, and instead put it all in the same place. Primarily, RepCard is used by businesses in industries such as HVAC, pest control, roofing, solar, and more, as the features included are fantastic for these kinds of companies.
It is also able to integrate with existing CRM systems, so if you already have one and you don’t want to do a complete swap when it comes to your tech, this is a fantastic option for you.
Pros:
One of the things that we love about RepCard is the fact that it has built-in leaderboards and competitions to encourage more team engagement. This gamification makes it more exciting for sales reps, and gets them to work harder so that they can be top of the board.
They also have a mobile first design, which is essential when you have sales people in the field all day. They need to be able to use this platform easily, without having to mess around because it’s not mobile optimized.
On top of that, they are an all in one platform, which means that you don’t have to shop around and look for any kind of alternative solution. You can simply find everything you need, easily in one place.
Cons:
One of the key issues that we have with this company is that they do not have publicly displayed pricing. You need to contact their sales team to get this information which can take longer than you would like.
As well as this, some of the comprehensive features can be quite tricky to understand and as such, they may need onboarding. This is especially true for organizations that have been using simpler tools up until now.
Leadbeam
Leadbeam is an AI powered field sales platform, and has been designed to help teams work more efficiently in the field. The goal is to reduce admin tasks and improve productivity overall. It doesn’t replace a CRM, it integrates with some of the popular systems to do things like optimize sales routes, give sales reps AI powered insights, automate data entry, and so much more. The goal is simple, it’s there to help field sales reps spend less time updating their systems, and more time doing what they do best.
Pros:
One thing that we love is their AI powered CRM updates. These allow reps to log meetings using voice notes or photos, meaning that they don’t have to spend ages typing everything out.
As well as this, you can real-time dashboards and analytics which provide managers with more visibility into field performance.
There are also over 100 languages available, making it suitable for a range of people to use, without having to struggle with any sort of language barrier.
Cons:
The fact that Leadbeam works alongside an existing CRM is both a pro and a con. In this case, it’s a con because if a company doesn’t already have one, they’re going to need to get one.
As well as this, some of the features are only available on the higher priced plans, which can be really inconvenient for those on a tight budget.
Pepperi
Last but not least, Pepperi is a unified B2B commerce platform. It’s slightly different to the others on the list, but does a lot of the same things, and can produce fantastic results nonetheless. It works primarily for those teams looking to sell to businesses, and isn’t a standalone CRM or ecommerce solution.
It’s popular in industries such as food, health and beauty, homeware, manufacturing, and more.
Pros:
It’s easy to integrate with other systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, and so much more.
It’s also highly configurable, which means businesses can customize workflows without extensive development issues.
Cons:
It might be too intense and have too many features for smaller businesses, especially those that only need something simple.
We also don’t like the fact that pricing isn’t publicly available on this platform, as you’re going to need a customized quote to be able to compare prices.
Every option that we have put on this list is a fantastic choice, and ones that you should certainly consider. We know that it’s a lot to look at, but you would have to do this anyway which means that it’s well worth the time it’s going to take. Just put your best foot forward, contact the companies if you feel that this is necessary, and keep going. Eventually, you will find one that works for you, and you will see a huge improvement in your sales going forward.
