“While other guys my age were climbing the corporate ladder, I was doing all that I could to jump off of it…”
What is up?!? If you plan on following along with me and the community at Entreresource.com, it is only fitting that I introduce myself properly and explain a little more what the blog is all about.
My name is Nate McCallister. I am a serial entrepreneur, father and learning junkie.
I am absolutely obsessed with entrepreneurship. I love every aspect of it.
I am doing all of the things I am teaching in this blog.
I promise to share with you what is going well and what has simply exploded in my face. I will be the first to admit, I still make some very bad business choices, and luckily for you, I am an open book about them!
Why I write this blog
This blog serves three main purposes:
1. I make money from it.
My affiliates pay me when I promote their items and you buy them. I promote the ones I use, it comes at no additional cost to you and some even provide discounts for our community. So this is fairly easy for me.
2. I can teach others and potentially change their lives.
If this blog isn’t good, I help no one and I make no money. Simple enough right? Of course, it is gratifying to think that people may use something I have shared and make better lives for themselves. If you use something I share here and it works out well for you, it would make my year if you would contact me and tell me about it.
3. I become a better entrepreneur.
There is something that happens when you have to articulate a concept into words. This level of learning is difficult to replicate any other way. I also do a fair amount of research and reading for each article I write, so much of what I share is relatively new to me as well.
Why Should You Read This Blog?
Let me start by saying this: I don’t have all the answers!
Hell, I don’t have most of the answers…
Fortunately for us, there is barely enough time for me to write about what I do know.
Everything I write I know to be true from personal experience, research, and/or experimentation.
I do generate a six figure income using the methods that I share in this blog, so I am not a complete novice, but I am far from an expert.
I am not a millionaire but want to be someday so I promise you: I research things thoroughly. I want the answers just as badly as you do!
I am a student of entrepreneurship just like you. This blog is a resource for me to document what I know and analyze what I believe to be true “out loud.” You learn a lot when you have to put your thoughts into words.
My 10 Promises to You the Reader
#1. I will never exaggerate my own success. I want to appear successful, but I promise the only way I will do that is by earning it. If I say something, quote sales or mention past successes, you have my word, it is legitimate.
#2. I will never promote something I don’t use AND think is best for you. This blog makes me money. That is how I am able to spend so much time on it and am able to really put in the hard-work required to write solid content. I use all of the tools I mention, but I promise that if there is a better option for you, I will try and mention it. Some of the tools I use may be overkill for you, so I will do my best to provide you with lower cost alternatives.
#3. I will always be active in all content shared. No ghost writing. I love writing this blog. I will always be the main contributor and will only allow guest posts that are relevant. If my name is on something, you bet your ass, I wrote it.
#4. I will never pretend to know something I don’t. Fortunately, I don’t have enough time as it is to share what I do know. If I don’t know something, I will reference a professional or send you where you can find the answer.
#5. I will always do my best to answer your questions. If I am lucky enough that this blog gets big enough that this becomes difficult, I will remove this. But if you are reading it now, it is happening.
#6. I will always disclose my personal gain in links, affiliates etc. I will not share this on every link I post, but I promise to be transparent about my financial interests. Like I said, I only promote what I use and know will serve you.
#7. I will always stay current on the industry so you are getting the best information I can possibly share. I believe that if you don’t read, you shouldn’t write (stephen king quote)
#8. I will always attempt to explain things as simply as possible. Impressing you with vocab and confusing concepts isn’t my goal. I want to impress you with my content’s value, not it’s vocabulary. The SAT was 10 years ago for me, I don’t need to over complicate things now.
#9. I will not use clickbait headlines and “shock value” topics. I want you to read my articles, but I won’t trick you into it by writing leading headlines or exaggerating a point for shock value.
#10. I will never, ever SPAM you or sell your email information. I wish I could say this goes without saying, but now days, it doesn’t.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog and I hope that I can help you create a new business or take your existing one to a whole new level.
Let’s do this!
